Before opening Meta's window, the onboarding link shows an intro page. There are two:

full (the usual one, now shorter). Three numbered steps —keep the phone at hand, the number on WhatsApp Business and not on another API, wait for the window to close by itself—, the button right below and the rest under «More details».

minimal. One big «Connect WhatsApp» button and one line: «Meta's official window opens. At the end, wait for it to close by itself.» For when you already briefed your customer before sending the link. The button can't be skipped: the browser only lets Meta's window open on a tap by the person.

Where to choose it. Per link, with intro on POST /v1/onboarding-links (and PATCH /v1/onboarding-links/{id} on a live link; null = the account's). For all your links, linkIntro on PUT /v1/branding or in the dashboard: Settings › Branding › Onboarding link → Intro page. The link wins; if it says nothing, the account; otherwise full.

What we measure. GET /v1/onboarding-links/{id} returns introEffective and introClick: which page your customer first tapped «Connect» on and how long it took from the page drawing (timeToClickMs).

On Coexistence, if you don't send historyDelivery, the page still asks first whether to deliver the history: it is your customer's consent. Send it and minimal is just the button.

The notices that appear only when needed stay in both: the Facebook or Instagram in-app browser (open in Chrome or Safari) and the one after several identical attempts.

A value other than full, minimal or null returns 400 ONBOARDING_INTRO_INVALID; a used, expired or revoked link can't be edited (410).
