Does Meta charge me separately from what I pay the platform?

This is the most expensive wrong expectation in this market, and it is almost never explained before the first invoice.

The two payments

• The platform (us, or whoever you use) charges you for infrastructure: the queue with retries, webhook signing, idempotency, the media proxy, template management. Here it is charged per connected number, with no message cap.
• Meta charges you for the messages, directly, on your own card added to your Meta account. We do not charge it, we do not see it, and we add nothing on top.

⚠ The three costly confusions

• The free trial is the PLATFORM's, not Meta's. Those are days without paying the platform; Meta charges from the first message of the first day.
• Meta charges PER MESSAGE delivered, not per conversation. Conversation-based pricing existed until 1 July 2025 and Meta retired it. Estimating per conversation comes out far short.
• Without a card in Meta your number still works. You receive and you reply within 24 hours; the one thing you cannot do is start a conversation with a template.

We don't copy their prices here because they change and vary by country. The official table is in Meta's pricing documentation.

What is worth knowing: from 1 October 2026 Meta also charges for service messages (free-form text inside the 24-hour window) and for utility templates sent inside an open window. Those used to be free.

And one thing in your favour

If you connect with Coexistence, whatever goes out from the phone has no Meta cost. Only what goes out through the API is billed.
